County Commissioner Javier Souto’s office implemented the posting of beautiful signs at some of the main entrances into Horse Country. This had been done in many communities in Dade Country, and helps distinguish the personality of each area. Our Mission is to keep Horse Country green. The first real challenge to our area was in 1975. The owner of a lot on 43rd street and 127th Avenue requested a variance to put in a strip shopping center. He got his neighbor to agree to sell also if the variance was granted.
